Marquis Custom Homes offers a Standard Structural Cabling which contains (3) Multimedia Outlets and (2) additional Telephone outlets. (3) Multimedia Outlets will be distributed to (1) each: Master Bedroom or Master Sitting Room (depending on house type purchased), Bedroom 2 & Family Room. In addition, Telephone outlets (1) each will be in the Kitchen (PH or WP) and Master Bedroom (PH). Outlet locations within these rooms are suggestions and can be moved.

All cabling is in a home run configuration and terminates inside a 20" Electronics Enclosure (EE).

  • 2   Phone Outlets

Multimedia Outlet

A Multimedia outlet contains two coax and two RJ-45 jacks. These jacks are color coded for simplicity and ease of use.
The black coax jack distributes the local cable service through the included video hub.
The white coax jack is used for other video distribution such as digital satellite, closed circuit camera or a DVD signal.
High quality RG6 quad shield coax cable is used for both the black and white coax jacks.
The white RJ-45 jack distributes up to four telephone numbers (when subscribed to) through the included phone distribution hub inside the electronics enclosure.
The Black RJ-45 jack is intended for a local area networking (LAN) with a provided single-port router.
CAT-5E cabling is used for both the white and black RJ-45 jacks. Each cable is independently run from the Electronics enclosure to an outlet. This enables maximum signal quality at all times.

Phone Outlet

A standard phone outlet contains one RJ-45 jack. The white RJ-45 jack distributes up to four telephone numbers (when subscribed to) through the included phone distribution hub inside the electronics enclosure. CAT-5E cabling is used for RJ-45 jacks. Each cable is independently run from the Electronics enclosure to an outlet. This enables maximum signal quality at all times.

10 Port Telephone Interface Hub

The GE Telephone Termination Panel provides telephone service for up to four lines to 10 separate locations. It offers 10 RJ-45 connectors that can easily be reconfigured to connect or disconnect service to any telephone jack in the System. Best of all, the RJ-45 connector is compatible with RJ-11 phone cable.

8 Way Video Termination Block

The GE video hub is an 8 way balanced 5-2000 MHz coaxial termination block. This product is specifically designed for the new cable and antenna signal distribution with digital and HDTV capability.
